Sparkling Strawberry Lemonade – Perfect for a Holiday Brunch

Bright, sweet, and fizzy — this sparkling strawberry lemonade is perfect for a Holiday Brunch made with fresh fruit and sparkling water for a refreshing twist.


Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
  • ⅓ cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2½ cups cold water
  • 1½ cups chilled sparkling water (or lemon seltzer for extra lemon flavor)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves, lemon slices, or extra strawberries for garnish

Optional (for a cocktail version):

  • 1 cup prosecco or sparkling rosé
  • Or ½ cup vodka or strawberry liqueur

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Strawberry Puree

  1. Combine the strawberries, lemon juice, and honey (or sugar) in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother texture (optional).

Step 2: Mix the Lemonade

  1. Pour the strawberry mixture into a large pitcher.
  2. Add the cold water and stir well.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3: Add Sparkle & Serve

  1. Just before serving, stir in the sparkling water (or prosecco).
  2. Fill glasses with ice and pour over the lemonade.
  3. Garnish with mint, lemon slices, or a strawberry on the rim.

Tips & Variations

  • Make ahead: Prep everything except the sparkling water. Add fizz just before serving.
  • No blender? Mash the strawberries and mix well with lemon juice and sweetener.
  • Serving suggestion: Pour into mason jars or stemless wine glasses for a festive presentation.
